08:00 AM – Meeting Time

You will be picked up at your hotel by our team, who will greet and assist you in the morning at 08:00 am (ከጠዋቱ 2 ሰዓት) to visit local handicraft workshops where small-scale workers and enterprises produce local woven cloth. You can choose to be picked up from a list of locations, or alternatively, you have the option to make your own way to the meeting points.

09:00 AM – On the road to North-eastern part of Addis Ababa

Enjoy a welcome drink while the instructor explains the weaving technique, the history, and how to wear the woven cloth in daily Ethiopian traditions. You will then proceed to visit the weaving workshop.

10:00 AM – Instructor lead weaving

The instructor will then demonstrate how to do the weaving, and you will be able to try and make by yourself.

11:30 AM – Finishing the weaving process

After completing the weaving process, you will enjoy a mesmerizing visit to the local workshop, where you can explore its history by tapping on unique models of the houses built there.

12:00 PM – Transferred back to the meeting point/hotel
