Menagesha

In the morning- transfer to the west of the capital some 55 km. along the Jimma road. Then you will reach the crown forest called Menagesha Suba well protected by imperial decree since the reign of Emperor Zara Yaqob in the 15th c. and consisting substantial indigenous trees.

Menagesha is good for hiking. Walk around the forest and familiarize yourself with the variety of plants, animals and beautiful landscape. Frequently seen mammals are; endemic Menelik bush back, baboons and other primates hanging on trees. This place is also interesting for bird watchers. In the afternoon transfer back to Addis.
